Tena koe, Malo e lelei, Talofa lava, Ni Hao, Namaste, Asalaam alaikum, Fakaalofa lahi atu and Hello! Wishing you all a very warm welcome back to school.

Homework: Please ensure that bookbags are brought to school every day, with your child’s signed reading log and homework notebook.  If there is no bookbag, it means your child can not take home a reading or library book and misses out on your very important feedback about their learning. We realise that home/school partnership is key to learning success.
Homework Academy is on Tuesdays from 3:15pm - 4:00pm.

Hats and drink bottles: It is our school expectation that in Terms 1 and 4, children must wear a brimmed hat during break times.  Please name your child’s hat and water bottle.  Thank you for your help in keeping our kids healthy!

PMP (Perceptual Motor Programme) - Monday afternoons and Thursday mornings. We are asking for an hour of your time to help set up the equipment in the Hall. If you can help out, please let me know. Thank you.

ANZAC and Fields of Remembrance Learning Week - 1st May 2017 to 5th of May 2017

May Road School students have learnt that the bravery and courage of these men and women, will give us the freedom and ability to live freely in our beautiful country, New Zealand.

This time each year, we mark the time when our Anzac soldiers arrived at Anzac Cove, Gallipoli. This is a very special time of the year for us all because we should always remember this day not just for the Anzacs, but for all soldiers who fought for our freedom.

Here are some pictures from our Learning Week. Room 1 and Room 12 were the Buddy classes that worked together. Our Social Sciences Team worked tirelessly to ensure that the entire school had enough learning resources for the Learning Week. We completed the week with the Closing Ceremony on Friday 5th of May. Our special guests are Mr Graham Gibson, Vice Chair for Fields of Remembrance Trust and Mr Andy Francis, Manager, RSA Auckland.
